Welcome to this webpage created by EV Solutions Group to provide information to leaseholders at the Eagle Works in relation to the project to install the infrastructure to support 150 EV chargers.
The new system will be modular in that the cabling will terminate to backplates at each of the car parking spaces. When you wish to begin using the EV charging system, you will need to purchase an EV charger from EV Solutions Group and subscribe to the billing platform.
The infrastructure system that EV solutions Group will be installing supports Easee Charge EV chargers. Please see https://easee.com/en/products/ev-chargers/easee-charge/
The billing platform used by EV Solutions Group is provided by Fuuse – https://fuuse.io/
Any new users will be subscribed to the platform which will ensure that each EV user pays for their use of electricity and funds are then forwarded to the car park service charge account via Fuuse.
Pricing – Charger costs
You will be invited to install a charger at the time the new system is commissioned (anticipated end of May 2025). Thereafter costs will be higher :
- 22Kw OCPP compliant EV charger including cable hook supplied, fitted and commissioned (£350 grant applied) during the infrastructure build = £995.68 inc VAT
- 22Kw OCPP compliant EV charger including cable hook supplied, fitted and commissioned AFTER the infrastructure build but before 31st March 2026 £1,355.68. (Grant still applicable but a £360 inc VAT installer call-out charge applied).
Charging Costs and Standing Charges
These are not known at this time as the infrastructure installation will also include addition of a new supply from Scottish and Southern Electric. It is not possible to obtain a quote until we have the MPAN number of the new meter, however, as a guide, current EV Solutions Customers are paying between 30-35 pence per KwH
The new supply will be controlled by the Eagle Works Management Company and they will set the rate so as to ensure that the electricity used for EV charging is paid for by those using EV chargers and that the Eagle Works Management Company can claim back the costs of the electricity used from this new supply.
The following costs are attributable to the individual if purchasing a charger, in addition to the unit price UPON ACTIVATION OF THE CHARGER
Billing Platform
Onboarding – 1 off fee @ £60.00 + VAT per charger
Annual subscription charge @ £60.00 + VAT per charger
Annual maintenance charge @ £60.00 + VAT per charger
Therefore – Year 1 support costs £180 + VAT – (based on current prices)
Year 2 costs onwards £120 + VAT – (based on current prices)
If you do not have an electric vehicle yet but wish to purchase an EV charger as part of the infrastructure upgrade, it is possible to do this and have it fitted non-activated. Billing and maintenance charges only apply once the EV charger is activated.
